THE LEGEND OF

FRANKENSTEIN!

Once, a clever little boy named Victor dreamed of making things move and live.  And when he grew up, he achieved his dream.

But that dream became THE NIGHTMARE OF FRANKENSTEIN!

In time for the 200th anniversary of Mary Shalley's FRANKENSTEIN, comes a collection of short stories about the most famous Monster of them all.  While many adaptations of the classic story have been told, precious few have attempted to chronicle the later adventures of the nameless creature.  This book does just that.

THE LEGEND OF FRANKENSTEIN begins with Victor Frankenstein as a child, pondering the secrets of life and the mysteries of death.  Then, beginning at the very moment that Mary Shelley's classic novel ends, we follow the Monster of Frankenstein on his epic quest, traveling across the world, seeking the means to do what his creator refused.  Along the way, the Monster battles ghouls, witches, and mad men who force him to battle other monsters in the arena of death!

The Monster travels the world to uncover the secret of creating life.  First crisscrossing Europe, he next travels to the tombs of the Pharaohs in Egypt.  Then he crosses the Atlantic to HP Lovecraft's witch-haunted city of Arkham and the Wild West.

MONSTER OF THE WORLD!

Hunted, haunted, rejected by the society of men, the Monster of Frankenstein finds a new purpose to live and seeks out allies to assist him.  Now, in MONSTER OF THE WORLD, he travels from the catacombs of Europe to the pyramids of Egypt, hoping to find the means to create a mate with which to share the world.  Continuing his search, he finds himself in HP Lovecraft’s city of Arkham!  Then the Monster strikes out for the Wild West, hoping to make a new home.

Continuing his quest to learn the secrets of creation, the Monster of Frankenstein embarks on his greatest quest, traveling from old San Francisco, across the Pacific to Shanghai and from there to the realm of the dreaded kiang-shi in Hunan Province and the monstrous Tcho-Tcho people beyond Tibet.

Later, in the Arctic, the Monster battles the Martians from HG Wells' "War of the Worlds" and tangles with the vampire king Dracula, the master criminal Fantomas, and Captain Mors, the air pirate.  And he forms alliances with the irascible Professor Challenger and the mysterious Dr. Silence.
